The price they built is the price they pay.
Every configured price is computed and signed on our server. Shopify checks the signature at checkout. A price edited in the browser is refused, not sold.
Tested live on 12 September 2026: 26 configured products in one order, 40 units, over $60,000, every price correct.
How is a configured price protected?
When a shopper adds a configured product to the cart, our server prices it from your rules and signs the result. Shopify verifies that signature at checkout and applies the same numbers. So the product page, the cart and the checkout always agree.
If someone edits the price in their browser, the signature no longer matches and the item cannot be bought at that price. It is refused, not discounted. Your prices also cannot quietly fall back to the plain product price.
One more thing merchants ask about. A configured price is a quote, and Orbit3D honours it. Change your prices and republish, and a shopper who already has the item in their cart keeps the price they accepted. Anyone who configures the product after the change gets the new price at once. Both carts can sit side by side, and both are correct.

What is the tamper check?
A second, independent check that runs at checkout. The pricing side works out what to charge. The tamper check refuses the order outright if any configured line claims a price your store did not sign.
You can see its state in the app: open Orbit3D, then Pricing function. It reads "Tamper check: on" when it is registered. If it says anything else, tell us.
Why it matters: without it, a shopper who edited a cart line would not be overcharged. You would be undercharged, selling a configured product at the plain product price, and nothing would warn you. That is the failure this check exists to prevent.
A shopper who hits the check sees:
"This custom item needs to be added to your cart again before you can check out."
On 12 September 2026 we ran a live test on a real store.

One order carried 26 different configured products, 40 units, over $60,000 in total. Every price agreed across the product page, the cart and the checkout. A forged price was refused the moment it was added. A republish did not move a price a shopper had already accepted. And the 27th configured item was refused, on purpose.
Why the 27th? One order holds up to 26 different configurations, with no limit on how many units of each. Ten identical hats on one line count once. Past 26, Shopify would stop applying configured prices to every line in the cart, so Orbit3D refuses the 27th item rather than undercharge you on all of them. The shopper sees: "Your cart already holds as many custom items as one order can carry. Please check these out first, then start another order."
We do not track your shoppers
No sessions. No conversion tracking. No shopper analytics. This is by design, not an oversight.
Orbit3D's job is to price the product and hand the choices to the order. To do that it keeps your configurator settings and puts the choices a shopper made onto the order they placed, as readable lines you can fulfil from. That is what it needs, and that is what it holds.
The options report (not on the Free plan) shows which choices shoppers actually order, including values nobody ever buys. It is built from orders, not from watching people.
Your store's currency is respected on every publish.
Your 3D files stay yours
3D files you upload go straight into your own Shopify Files, on your store, under your account. Not into a library of ours. Open Files in your Shopify admin and they are there for you to see.
What Orbit3D does not do
- Take a percentage of your sales. 0% on every plan, on every order.
- Publish without you. Nothing goes live until you press approve. Saying yes in a chat does not publish.
- Track shoppers. No sessions, no conversion tracking.
- Move your files off your store. Uploads land in your own Shopify Files.
- Claim certifications or badges we do not hold. You will not see any on this site.
- Promise features we have not built. The Features page keeps a plain list of what Orbit3D does not do yet, so you are never surprised after you install.
